So recently on Facebook in my business page I threw out there the idea of doing something special for valentines day. Based on the number of likes I decided to have a valentines couple portrait day. More details to come about that, the only thing I have planed so far is the date(February 12th) and the plan is to have 14 minute sessions for $14.

But where will I have it? The idea is to do the sessions outside, hoping that the weather loves love and we have a great awesome day like today! I decided to scout some locations and came across Whiskey Island by downtown Cleveland. The location is kinda buried, if you’ve been to Edgewater, you go right instead of left at the entrance and keep on driving till the end of the road. Speaking of road… It was a disaster!! I lost count at the number of potholes. I was thinking to do the sessions at this location prior to visiting, first time here. It is a cool location, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not going to work for the valentines couple portraits. However, I will definitely come back for some Engagement Sessions in the future. But to hang out all day waiting for 20something couples? Nah.. So I’m gearing more towards a location that is more familiar and easier to get for everyone. I will be posting later about details.

Just looking back at these images I’m amazed of what an incredible journey I took in 2011. Thank you to all who trusted me to capture memories that will last a lifetime. None of this would be possible without your support. Have a very save and happy new year’s eve, here’s to 2012!  I cannot wait to see what next year has in store for us.

What do you do when the weather is cold and rain pours nonstop? You take the session indoors. First time ever photographing inside Canton’s Palace Theater and I loved it. What an elegant place to be, full of history too. This session was a bit challenging, the thing about theaters is that they are very dark places. So I definitely had to rock some off camera lighting. This technique takes a bit longer since the lighting must be rearranged from shot to shot. Overall I am very pleased with the shots. This session also concludes an amazing year for me. Once in a while I get the opportunity to be the second photographer at weddings. I truly enjoy being a second, no pressure, and I get to step out of my “comfort zone”.

Um, let’s examine why I’ve been looking forward for this wedding pretty much all year. A masquerade ball with fabulous details, amazing people and a bride with a vast imagination. What else could you ask for! This wedding was off the hook!! Congrats to Ashley and Andy!!!
