Chagrin Falls Engagement Session, Gabrielle and Tyler

It’s a shame that I only visit the town of Chagrin Falls when I do sessions. It really such a lovely little town to spend time in. Gabrielle and Tyler met me by the falls for the engagement session. It was a great time, these two just look too good to take bad photos. They both love to dance so they wanted a photo showing that. It was a challenge that led me to shoot one of my all time favorite image. (the last image on this post)

Cleveland Engagement Session, Rachel & Sami

This couple right here, they are freaking awesome. I had such a blast putting them in front of the camera for their engagement session. We started our session in the University Circle area and drove to downtown Cleveland just in time to capture a beautiful sunset that kissed the city skyline. Congrats to Rachel & Sami, can’t wait to play with you two on the big day.

Downtown Cleveland Engagement Session- Meghan & Adam

Downtown Cleveland is probably one of my favorite spots to shoot. I’m a big time sucker for architecture, lines and patterns. And no matter how many times I visit cleveland locations I always seem to find something new. It was awesome to get to explore this city with Meghan and Adam this past Sunday. I seriously cannot wait till the wedding date!

Winter Engagement Session with Jessica and Michael

So excited to share a few images from my very cold session with Jessica and Michael. Jessica made a special request to have the engagement pics taken when the snow covered the ground. We already cancelled once because the snow melted by the time the date came close. But as soon as we go hit with snow again I immediately contact her. Many are scared to have an outdoor session in the winter, but I very much enjoy shooting with snow on the ground. The reflection from the snow makes for beutiful soft lighting. The flesh tones and colors are fantastic. And to make this even better, I had the chance to try out my brand new Nikon D600. Absolute in love with this camera, although I must admit that I have fallen in love with all my previous cameras. One thing that really impresses me is the quality of the image files, it was a blast editing. Thinking about doing a mini review. But for now I hope you enjoy the following images. I can’t wait to meet these two again at their wedding.

Putting together this post made me realize just how lucky I am to know so many great people. The year 2012 was an amazing journey filled with unforgettable moments. I want to thank all of my clients, fellow photographers and many wedding vendors in Northeast Ohio for being fantastic. You have all made this year a great one!

So looking forward to see what 2013 has in store for EM Event Photography. Raise your glasses and have a happy new year!! Cleveland rocks!!!

Cleveland Engagement Session- Selina & Kyle

This engagement session was really important for me. The soon to be bride Selina is an old friend of mine. We went to Cleveland School of the Arts together and studied photography in the same classroom for four years. Kyle and Selina joined me this past February for my first annual Valentine’s day portrait marathon, this was before the proposal.

Few months later, Kyle contacted me that he had interest in asking Selina’s hand in marriage and wanted me to be there to capture it. That was truly an honor and I was so nervous for him.

I was the creepy guy hiding in the bushes waiting to capture the moment. It was amazing to capture an actual proposal, a first for me. Kyle is an amazing guy and I am so very much happy for Selina. They both have a very strong connection with their religious faith and will wait till marriage for their first kiss. So another first for me! I get to capture their very first kiss next year. Can’t wait!

Engagement Session at North Chagrin Reservation

Autumn has to be one of my favorite season to shoot in. One thing is that the temperature is just right, not too cold and not too hot, just perfect. The colors are breathtaking, which translates to an amazing photography session when you add a great couple to the equation. The location for this engagement session was North Chagrin Reservation by the nature center area. Congratulations to Becky and Tom on their Engagement, see you next year!

Engagement Session in Cuyahoga Valley, Peninsula, OH- Jessica & Eric

So thrilled on how this engagement session turned out! Just love the locations, great light and a very cool couple. Engagement Session in Columbus,OH- Carrie & Demetri

It always nice to visit areas that I’ve never photographed at before. Everything is new and exciting, so much fun exploring new grounds. When I found out that Carrie & Demetri are from Columbus Ohio I immediately suggested doing there engagement session there. I’ve been working all summer and it was a chance for me and my family to get out of the routine and enjoy ourselves for a few days. We spent three nights in the city of Columbus and we just loved it.

Here are some frames from the engagement session with Carrie & Demetri. We started the session in the German village area and ended in the downtown area. Congrats you two, see you in November on your wedding day!

Wow, I realize it’s been forever since I’ve posted an engagement session on the blog. It’s been wedding after wedding since April so it was so nice to change the routine a bit. Engagement sessions have to be one of my favorite parts of my job, I get to hang out with a wonderful couple without the stress of a wedding day and just have fun.
